ABOUT THE SONG
The song is titled, 'Absolution', which means, 'a formal release from guilt or punishment'. It's about having a talk with yourself about forgiveness. Sometimes in life we make choices that lead to unfavorable outcomes for ourselves, and asking for forgiveness doesn't always come easy. I feel at times it's easier to ask someone else for forgiveness than it is to ask yourself considering you are your own worst critic. We are oftentimes harder on ourselves than anyone else is, and it takes a lot to come to terms with mistakes we have made in the past sometimes.
OUR REVIEW
Wow. We’re completely stoked to hear this new track from Misgiving. With music changing everyday this takes us back further than we’ve ever gone to the music we used to know and love. Everything about this song is great. The music brings a very punchy feel but not to the point of where we’re hearing the same thing over and over again. Heartfelt lyrics bring the song and video seamlessly together for an experience that is almost too good to be true. This is the first time we’ve spotlighted this band but we can assure you that this won’t be the last time. Misgiving is definitely doing it right. Make sure you check them out!
