We The Kings

Do you ever feel like breaking down? Do you ever feel out of place? Like somehow you just don’t belong, and no one understands you?

If those words sound familiar to you, and you immediately started belting out the tune, then you knew the impact of Simple Plan in the mid-2000s. As such, those words alone most likely can take you on a trip down nostalgia lane. That’s exactly what happened for concert goers on Tuesday, October 29, 2019 in Richmond, VA. One the first stop of their national tour,Simple Plan and State Champs, along with We the Kings, embarked on their epic Where I Belong tour. With the release of their recent collaborative single that included all three bands, the tour lineup was perfect.

Concert goers were treated to numerous hits from the bands, such as the catchy “Check Yes Juliet” from We the Kings, as well as “Secrets” and “Dead and Gone” from State Champs.Simple Plan also made sure to include older hits, as well as newer ones on their setlist, such as“Welcome to My Life” and “I’d Do Anything.” Towards the end of Simple Plan’s set, members of State Champs and We the Kings joined the band on stage to perform the live premiere of their collaborative single, “Where I Belong.”

The night was energetic to say the least. We the Kings kicked off the evening with a burst of energy, followed by State Champs who brought the heat, and everything was topped off with Simple Plan, who proved why they have remained such a treasured band over the years. Most notably was the fire from Simple Plan’s singer, Pierre Bouvier. Although the energy levels of everyone that evening were high, Bouvier’s levels surpassed all. From bouncing around the stage constantly, to jumping off pieces of equipment available on stage, even I was feeling exhausted just from watching him.

The tour concludes Sunday, November 24, 2019 in San Francisco, CA.Visit https://simpleplan.com/tour/to find a stop near you
