Who’s trying to get paid $1000 to watch all the Star Wars movies back to back? Here’s your chance!
Calling all Star Wars fans: you can earn a thousand dollars for binge-watching every single movie in the series. Yes, you read that right. CableTV.com wants to pay somebody to watch all 10 Star Wars movies before the release of The Rise of Skywalker later this month.
"If we pick you, be prepared," CableTV.com's job posting reads. "Remember: this is a full Star Wars marathon with every canon movie included. That’s 22 hours, 25 minutes worth of ancient, distant galactic glory. Not just any half-witted, scruffy-looking nerf herder can tune into the force for that long." Not only does this epic movie marathon include the original, prequel and sequel trilogies, but Solo and Rogue One, as well. Are you up for the challenge?
You can't just be a casual Star Wars fan if you want to apply. CableTV.com is looking for "an entertaining Star Wars junkie with a Chewbacca-sized personality, the wit of Han Solo, and the smarts of Master Yoda" to fulfill this role. The right candidate will also have an active Twitter account and be "willing to share their Jedi wisdom and movie-watching experience" on their account. Being active on Twitter, Reddit and other social media platforms will also give you a leg up on the competition.
In addition to the above requirements, CableTV.comalso requires applications to be 18 years or older and a US citizen. In order to apply, you've got to head over to CableTV.com and answer a few questions about yourself. Though it's not required, you can also submit a short video explaining why you're the one for the job.
Not only will you earn a thousand dollars if you're chosen for this gig, you'll win a ton of cool Star Wars swag, too, including a welcome package complete with all ten movies on Blu-ray, Nerf Han Solo Blaster, a Chewbacca onesie and an R2-D2 Popcorn Popper.
Applications close Wednesday, December 11, 2019 at 7 p.m. EST. May the force be with you
